Jeffrey "Jack" Gordon

Jeffrey "Jack" Gordon, a Partner with Maney & Gordon, P.A., practices in the areas of Civil Litigation, Products Liability and Personal Injury Law.

Mr. Gordon received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Tulane University in 1986, and his Juris Doctor from Tulane University School of Law in 1989. After graduation, he worked as a Law Clerk Intern to the Honorable Edward T. Barfield, III, First District Court of Appeal, Florida.

Prior to joining Maney & Gordon, P.A., Mr. Gordon was appointed and served as a Special Assistant Public Defender for the Appellate Division of Dade County, Florida. As Public Defender, he argued juvenile cases before the Third District Court of Appeal. In 1990, Mr. Gordon became the youngest certified Circuit Court Arbitrator in Palm Beach County, Florida.

Mr. Gordon is a member of several professional associations, including the Florida Bar, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Hillsborough County Bar Association (Trial Lawyers Section) , Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association, and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers.

Mr. Gordon is member counsel for the Animal Legal Defense Fund and a fellow of the Roscoe Pound Institute. He is listed in Who's Who of American Law and has been invited as a featured speaker in February 2001 on "Superior Deposition Strategies in Florida Civil Trial Practice".

Attorney Gordon serves as a Teen Court Judge on the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, where he presides over misdemeanor sentencing trials and grand juries for first time juvenile offenders.

Mr. Gordon has authored articles for publication in Lawyer Magazine and The Advocacy Journal. Providing legal commentary, Mr. Gordon has appeared as a television guest on Live at Five, Good Morning Tampa Bay and Active Health. In 1997, Mr. Gordon hosted the weekly television show Law Talk.

Mr. Gordon has been selected for inclusion in Who's Who in American Law, The Millennium Edition.
